The voice of the cello

In its second edition, the Suoni Panteschi Chamber Music Festival brings Pantelleria to life from July 5 to September 2, 2025, with concerts staged in the island’s most historic and evocative venues.

On August 19, Cineteatro San Gaetano hosts “The Voice of the Cello”: cellist Jin Ju and pianist Attilia Cernitori will perform sonatas by Haydn and Debussy alongside newly commissioned works created especially for the festival. The theatre’s warm acoustics—once those of an 18th-century church—will enhance every expressive nuance, imbuing the evening with an almost sacred intensity.
