Benikulà Cave is located in a rocky area on the flank of Montagna Grande, near Sibà. It is a natural cavity where hot vapors escape from the ground, creating an environment similar to a sauna. The heat comes from the island’s geothermal activity. Along the way, an old mule track leads to the recess, where one can sit on lava stone and enjoy the steam. From above, the view opens onto the Piana di Monastero and the sea, creating an especially evocative scene at sunrise and sunset.
