Tracino - Piazza Perugia

View on Google Maps

Located in the Tracino district, the Church of Madonna della Pace was constructed in 1981 on the site of a votive chapel built during World War II by the soldiers of the Perugina Division. The chapel served as a place for celebrating Mass during the war. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Peace and is renowned for housing a painting of the Madonna della Pace, created by soldier A.E. Lotti in 1943. This artwork is a reproduction of a painting by Nicolò Barabino, which is preserved in Florence.
