Cala Cottone

East Perimeter - Gadir/Khamma Junction

View on Google Maps

Nestled between Punta Spadillo and Cala Gadir, Cala Cottone is a small bay reachable on foot in about twenty minutes via a trail through Mediterranean scrub. The shoreline features low, smooth rocks bathed by crystal-clear waters. Among the rocks stands an ancient well, dating back to the Arab dominion period. The cove’s name derives from the cotton-loading activities that once took place along this stretch of coast.
