Located in the Khaddiuggia district and built between 1775 and 1795, the church is dedicated to St. James, celebrated on July 25th. Its architecture exemplifies a classic rural Pantelleria church: a single nave, constructed with local lava stone masonry, featuring a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a gabled roof. The structure consists of continuous load-bearing masonry with squared corners and irregular sections elsewhere. The vault's extrados is waterproofed with a mixture of volcanic lapilli (locally known as tuffu) and lime, laid over a compacted earth layer and compressed using wooden mallets. Inside, blind arches define the single nave, and the floor is made of glazed terracotta tiles. At the far end, above the altar, there's a painting of the saint on canvas, created by santàri—artists specializing in religious iconography. From the apse, an archway leads to a small side sacristy.
