The Sesi Park stretches between the Mursia and Cimillia districts in the northwest of the island. Here, around 4,000 years ago, the Sesi civilization erected over one hundred funerary mounds of lava stone, circular or elliptical in plan, each with an entrance corridor and internal burial chamber. The most impressive is the Sese del Re: 20 m in diameter, 5.6 m in height, with twelve cells connected by galleries. A short, level trail accessible from the perimeter road allows visitors to explore the area and take in, at a single glance, the necropolis, the sea, and the terraced fields.
