At Zighidì, amid cultivated terraces and dry-stone walls, a Byzantine-era necropolis carved into the rock is preserved. The tombs, datable between the 6th and 9th centuries, are rock-cut pit graves that vary in shape: some have irregular edges and narrower ends, while others are rectangular with chamfered corners. They belong to the same type of burials identified elsewhere on the island and are linked to the presence of the Eastern Roman Empire. A discreet site immersed in nature, it tells of the ancient relationship between land, life, and memory.
